XP shuts down after a few minutes

I just installed XP on a machine that previously had windows XP working, and after a short amount of time the machine shuts off. Anyone know what is going on?

any errors or bluescreens? Tell use how you installed it and why you reinstalled

I had x64 trial version, it ran out. So I installed XP Pro and I don't get an error, it just shuts down.

In event viewer under system, i get a lot of warnings and the source is disk. It is event 51.

Anything else?

my suggestion is this. You need to fdisk and format your drive. Not with the XP cd, but using the windows 98 bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com This has been an issue on here before and this is what was done to fix it.
