Dear experts

Recently my computer win XP has been unable to shutdown. When i click on shutdown, the computer takes no action whatsoever. When i tried closing the proccesses one by one, i realised i was unable to shutdown becoz of a proccess called ccApp.exe The simple solutiion wud be to delete the program, but it is needed for norton anti virus to work properly. Pls help.
thanks

hi buddy .i know how dificult it is to uninstall norton ,the best way to uninstall norton is to use teh RNAV.EXE. it completely uninstalls NAV from the registries.log on to www.symantec.com

disable the 'scan floppy on access' in nortons. I've seen that happen before, and that can cause it at times. basically, windows gives the park/shutdown command to the hardware (floppy drive), norton sees this as access and tries to scan. usually what will happen is it will shutdown after some 20 minutes or so.
