I just uninstalled (read: nuked from orbit) a "CyberDefender" antivirus suite from a PC. I manually deleted all the files and nuked all of the registry keys and autoruns. However, Windows sexurity center still reports that it is up to date and active. Is there a way to manually reset this detection?

Installing a different anti virus program might overwrite the previous installed programs security centers registry entries. It wouldn't hurt to run a good registry cleaner or two.

Typically security center will just report on whichever one says it's up to date, so that really doesn't help much. I used regcleaner already, don't really trust any other registry cleaning tools. Would be nice to know just where the registry key is for this, considering how often I encounter it.
