I would do as trotter suggested. that process points to diskeeper a third party defrag utility and it is auto defragging often. does someone else use that computer that could have installed diskeeper?

hmm, but doing that will prevent them programs from loading into the system tray wont it? i have msn loaded pritty much 24/7 , and i use realplayer quite often...

Diskkeeper tho.. nope, only i use this computer. god knows how it got there!?

Hang on, just looked at my HijackThis info, and cannot see any sign of Diskkeeper Or IFFAAST :S

C:\WINDOWS\system32\DfrgFat.exe <this the the diskeepter service, ifaast and autofrag is what it runs

hey guys my task manager says system ide process is CPU=99 is this gd or not everything else is 0

System Idle is the reserve CPU power. This should be at the higher 90's when the comp is idle
