XP reinstall

Is it possible to overwrite my current french XP home and put an english xp pro without formatting the partitions it's on?

well if your overwriting your xp home then it wouldnt be any different to formatting it as you still lose everything.. or did u mean upgrade it?

as blkshdw88 started to mention an upgrade version will do what you want. ultimately any reinstall of windows in my mind should be a "clean install" though. in other words a reformat and reinstall.
