The problem:

When I'm on XP, my computer likes to randomly freeze on me. This happens A LOT when I have uTorrent (and also happened months ago when I was using Azuerus). Although, it still does do it if I'm on Firefox or just normal usage (no download torrents). So basically, I can't download torrents for more than 30 minutes without freezing up... Most of the time, it's freezing up on me when I'm on uTorrent.

The thing is though, with Ubuntu, I can go FOR DAYS and DAYS downloading without any crashing issues (just the once in a while internet drop, which is normal). No problems, nothing...

What could be the problem? I've reformatted before, a few months ago, yet it still happens. Any suggestions?

Just from your text, not paying attention to your log at the moment, it would appear to *me* to be a uTorrent issue, and not an issue with your computer, since you do not have the same problem with Ubuntu.

Hmm i have the exact same problem. When you say it freezes... do you mean that nothing at all works and it seems it has happened for no apparent reason? For example, you leave your computer on and when you come back the clock hasn't changed since you left, the mouse cursor doesn't move and absolutely nothing can be done? This is what happens for me anyway, and I DO use uTorrent and Firefox.

I'm getting the feeling it's a uTorrent issue aswell as you use it and penfold also said it. Hmmm....
