Default xp pro: 32 or 64 bit?

Im trying to decide which os to get. My cpu/mobo will support both 32 and 64 bit. Should i go with:

Windows XP Pro

Windows XP Pro x64

Windows Media Center Edition

It is intended for gaming, watching movies, programming(C++), flash animation, and photo-editing. And i heard that the x64 had trouble with the wireless network cards, but i have a hard connection to the router, so im good there.

Where is the best place to purchase the os? Should i get oem or retail? This is my first time to purchase an os, until now i have borrowed from friends/used discs that came with an old gateway pc.

Any info is appreciated.

Go with 32 bit. There's still not drivers for a lot of hardware for the 64 bit Windows.

MCE is basically Pro with media additions.

Retail would be best, but it is an arm and a leg.

NewEgg is $137.99.

Here's a link to some from PriceGrabber:

I'd go with MCE.
