Question XP he vs. XP mce

Will I have to sacrifice anything to go from XP home edition to XP media center edition? I don't find any direct comparison on the Microsoft website.

no you just gain more from it such as media center itself and hundreds of more advanced administrative options also a neat looking task bar

about the same other than a little extra HD memory.

MCE:

233 megahertz (MHz) processor

64 megabytes (MB) of RAM

1.8 GB of available hard disk space during installation

HE:

PC with 300 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233-MHz minimum required;* Intel Pentium/Celeron family, AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended

128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)

1.5 gigabyte (GB) of available hard disk space.*

wow! MCE requires less, cool

MCE had better tools and apps built into it, and has lots of cool features
