xp frequent logons

My school secretary has an xp machine that requires her to re-logon many many times throughout the day (as often as every half hour). She is annoyed. How do I fix. TIA

is it a school machine that is under admin? does the login prompt come up even if you are actively using the computer? if so, it might be a security factor and is there for a reason. It could simply be that you have enabled the computer to suspend over a 30 minute period of inactivity

Then again, she might be leaving the computer for the default amount of time (in Power Settings) and the CPU hibernates. When you wake the computer, you must unlock it. I've dealt with this same problem before, just change the power settings to "always on."
