Default xp and dx10

i saw theres a way to run DX10 on xp. i just wanted the know the pros and cons of this? i'd rather not use vista for now, it's a resource hog.

There is no legit, widely used and accepted "hacked" DX10 drivers or patch for windows XP.

But some games, like Crysis, can be modified to use in game DX10 settings.

Even the hacks do not work. They allow you to only use a Demo of DX10 on XP. They are not true DX10 working hacks on XP.
