Just bought a new HP notebook and when I filled out all the registration information the next time I turned the computer on it took 15 minutes for the system to boot up. THe HP support guy says I downloaded mcafree virus scan and I already had Norton built in. IT IS IN CONFLICT WITH EACH OTHER. He walked me through to eliminate it and all un-necessary icons to make the system faster. It worked except I now cannot create a background picture for my desktop....what can I do...I think he had me take out too many items.
