Default XP boot time applications

Hello
just before the log on. Sometimes applications run in that blue screen (like chkdsk), What i wana know is ( were windows Puts the registry thats tells it run somthing @ that time)

because i have a problem and something always runs before logon screen and thats just ....

spybot can be configured to stop programs on autopilot.

What OS are you running? In XP, MSCONFIG can stop all applications if you disable them. It's in the startup tab.

most window tools that work upon boot aren't located in msconfig

Yeah MSconfig startup tab contains applications that runs after log on (firewalls,desktop softwares) but here i need to desable the (pre-logon tasks ) i think they can be DOS applications only

yeah and I see startupcop is no longer free

Yeah I once found it and deleted it now it says "program not found" so there is somthing else pointing to it
