Default Wsus on win 2000


i need help how to direct my clients pc to pull updates from the WSUS server. but cant i cannot do it via GPO or registry edits cause i dont know where to start. I can do it in xp pc but I'm not familiar with Win2k enviroment.

can anyone give me the guidance in detail.

Check out the deployment guide. It's actually pretty easy to understand and will help you out in setting a Group Policy to to point all workstations to grab updates from your WSUS server.

We got it running pretty smoothly without any problems and this guide was very helpful.

i couldnt get the server to install on windows 2000 even following directions..too many updates to do to the server itself waiting til i can get ahold of server 2003 from MSDNAA.
AMD Athlon 4000+ @ 2.4 GHz
4096 MB RAM
Dual Mirrored 500 GB HDDs
Windows Server 2003 x64 R2 SP2
