wont let me uninstall this game.... please help

i have halflife on my comp just the orig and when i go to add/remove programs on the control pannel and hit remove and uninstall it says

The log file 'C:\Sierra\Halflife\uninst.isu' is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninsallation will not continue.


Please help!!! how do i get this off of my comp then ??

what files do i delete in the registry and how ??

just reinstall the program and then remove like mentioned above. deleting the files can be 'messy'
