wmp not working

ok my windows media player isnt working, i mean it doesnt woiek like if i try to watch a video that requires wmp online it just stayed black and says "ready" but u cant press play cuz it wont do anything, this happened after we turned off then back on our firewall for the router, idk if that caused it or not but anyone gimme some ideas on what i need to do to get it working?

Well if it worked before the firewall was reset than that is you issue. Need to give WMP permissions to use streaming Video thru the firewall.
