wmp error

when i try to view a certain movie file on Windows Media Player 9 series, i get this error:

can anybody help? This problem happens with 5 movies, and they're all MPG format.

could this be a codec problem?

try and download power dvd which will give you new codecs

i own powerdvd version 5, havent installed it yet, can it play MPG's?
