Default WMP 11 mem usage

I have the beta of Windows Media Player installed on an XP SP2 system. when running it uses 50% of my cpu. Is there a way to fix this?

Being that WMP11 is still in Beta there are going to be prolbems with it. It isnt a final product that has everything fully functional.

I have noticed that WMP11 does take up some CPU but even when i have a video going it does take 50%. What are your specs? Maybe they are just a bit low for what you are trying to accomplish.

What specs do you mean. Mem usage? It's at about 60,000k usually.

He's asking how fast is your computer, cpu, ram amount, harddrive...the entire computer spec so we can have a better understanding of why.
