At wits end with Nero 9! how do i make an image file bootable?

Also - make sure you burn at the slowest speed. This ensures maximum integrity for the actual image file that's being placed on the CD/DVD.

ImgBurn works great, and being completely free of cost and easily downloadable is a severe +1. I wouldn't even mess around with anything else, since ImgBurn just does the job.

it's funny. everybody say to do that. me, I burn them at the fastest speed and I never had a problem
 
I burn at mid-speeds. From 10X to 16X and never have issues.
