Default WinXP or Win2000

I have an older computer, and I'm wondering if I should run WinXP or Win2000 on it, I want to be able to run the optimally, but still have the ability to use it for some childrens games, and newer software that is out.

System Specs -

Current Windows (Windows XP Professional SP2)
AMD 2400+ @ 2.5Ghz OCed
512MB PC2100
74GB WD Raptor
ATI Radeon 9200 128MB PCI
450W PSU

For sure XP..I mean 2000 will run WAY quicker, but the driver and application support for Windows XP is far greater. There are so many tweaks you can do to XP to make it hum as quick as 2000..especially on a raptor

That's what I was thinking, I have Windows XP tweaked to where it runs as fast as my Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB, eVGA GeForce 8800GTX 768MB video card (over kill on this card. ). It's not AS fast, but I can compete with it, which was very suprising.
