WinXP Pro boot issue Need ideas!!

is your system overclocked? if it is, turn it back down

i cant remeber off hand but are you able to press f8 to use last known good configuration?

overclocked no. my company is extremely cheap when it comes to the it dept. which is all me. This is a old epic tower with little over basic requirements to run xp. They expect me to turn water into wine.

hdd may be going bad also if its that old

could also be the case. had to reimage 2x already. Worked fine all last week. But the temp has been 95 to 100 deg lately. this pc sits out in the plant floor all day with minimal cooling. may have fried.

Thanks for your help warez but i'm gonna wipe it and start over. if it goes down again maybe my boss will get the point and get new equipment. all in all not total loss. atleast i picked up little bit more knowledge.
