I have a network of about 15 XP, ME and 98 machines connecting to a Win2003 server. There is a software package that we must run from the server, and requires using mapped drives.
All the 9x machines experience no slowdown, but the XP machines are experiencing severe network response when launching, opening or saving documents and apps.
I have heard there is a problem with XP and mapped drives which slows down networks. I have seen MANY posts at different boards asking about it, bu haven't found any decent responses yet to our problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
