So I was just chugging along surfing forums (Android based forums for my phone), when suddenly my laptop hanged, and restarted. There was no BSOD that appeared. But after the restart finished, I was greeted with this:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.2
Locale ID: 13321

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 24
BCP1: 00000000001904FB
BCP2: FFFFF880033938D8
BCP3: FFFFF88003393140
BCP4: FFFFF880016FB78A
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1

Not really sure how to decode this, as this is my first "bluescreen" on W7 and it didnt show that error code thing.

Check the event viewer in windows 7: right click computer -> manage -> Even viewer -> System logs -> System.

Sometimes this will give you a more helpful description of the error.

Blue screen stop errors are typically caused by problems with drivers, viruses, or system files.

If you have recently installed any hardware or software, updated any drivers then see if you can get a current version from the OEM.

Has this only happened once or multiple times?

First ever "bluescreen" on a 6month old laptop. Last new hardware installed was additional 2gb RAM a few weeks ago, apart from that the rest of the unit is still stock.

anyway, found the viewer you mentioned and found this as the last error event:
"The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume \Device\HarddiskVolume2."

I'll just run a check disk and get back here in the morning.
