Default Windows XP or XP on boot

Every now and again when installing windows on a cpu, usually Dell, everything will go fine until reboot. When I reboot the machine it asks me to choose what OS to boot and both choices are Windows XP Pro. How do I get rid of these choices so it just boots. There is only one copy installed.

type msconfig press enter
click on the boot.ini tab
click on the button that reads Check All Boot Paths

From there it should tell you that one of them is invalid and ask you if you would like to remove it.

Gotta love Dell. They are the only systems that do that.
