Windows XP won't shut down

Recently I bought new hard disk and after installing Windows XP I canÂ’t shut down my computer. I found whatÂ’s wrong but I donÂ’t know what to do. The problem is:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP :0x000000D1(0xF9BC2400,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xF9BC2400)
Serial.sys – Address F9BC2400 base at F9BC2000, DateStamp 00000000

I didn't install Windows myself, but I donÂ’t think I have SP2 installed.
