Windows XP wont shut down

I just finished building a new computer and most things seem to work. The exception is that when i use the shut down option the machine shuts down and then restarts. I must push the button in the front of the case to shut the power off to the computer. It is a xion case and it is an ecs motherboard with amd 3500 processor. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

check ur bios settings..

Yes, check your BIOS setting, make sure wake on LAN or wake on magic packet isn't enable.

thanks for advice but i dont see anything in my bios that might be wrong. i dont have those options law
