Default windows xp software question

This is a program I just dl'ed...

The Windows XP startup disk allows computers without a bootable CD-ROM to perform a new installation of the operating system. The Windows XP startup disk will automatically load the correct drivers to gain access to the CD-ROM drive and start a new installation of Setup. You cannot upgrade from a Windows XP startup disk.

Windows XP Home Edition startup disks will not work for Windows XP Professional installations and vice-versa.

Does this mean you can create a Windows XP install disc for those dumb computers you buy in the stores that dont come with one?

No. This is juat a startup disc. Which means that it will allow you to start the PC. Get access to the CD ROM so you can do an install.

If this was a install disc that wasnt on a CD that would account for over 1,000 Floppies that would have to be done to install XP.
