Windows XP Service Pack 2

I recently downloaded windows XP service pack 2 and now my start tool bar takes a whole minute to boot up when my desk top appears. I suspect that it is because need to upgrade my video card to a direct X 9 to run the service pack efficiently. I have a GE Force FX 5700. I like what the service pack has done my desktop has more space and the security is increased. If worst comes to worst I'll uninstall it and do a system restore.

it has nothing to do with your graphics card, use autoruns or msconfig to check your startup items.
