I just got finished reinstalling XP premium on my laptop and was trying to reinstall yahoo messenger. It won't install because of lack of disk space. Except, its a brand new install and I checked and there is 143 of 146 gb free.

"Not enough free disk space to complete the installation. Please clear at least 100mb of disk space and try again."

I've installed firefox and a couple other programs so far without any problems. Then after trying to install YM I installed itunes with no problem. So I'm not sure what is happening.

xp premium?

did you look at the installation path for YM?
is it installing where it should be?
is your system partition labeled C:?
does disk management show any other partitions?
have you tried redownloading the installer package and making sure it was the right package for your os?

yeah I checked the partition label and it was different from the one that the other programs had downloaded too. Not sure why, but its fine now thanks.
