Windows XP Problems with Install

Hi, I have just built a new computer. When I boot the disc of windows xp to install it, it says to press "enter" to continue and press "R" for repair. It wont let me select anything so when I press enter it wont continue it just stays on that same screen. I am able to navigate the BIO's just fine. Is there any thing I could do?

Are you using a USB keyboard? Do you have that option enabled in the BIOS?

Yes I do and it is also is enabled in the bios. But the keyboard only doesnt work when im in the installation screen with windows xp.

It could be freezing when it opens.
