Default Windows Xp Pro Problem.......

i recently installed the 4051 build of windows longhorn and i decided to get rid of it because the resource problems... so i went to install windows xp pro and it turned out all perfect till about 5 days after the instillation and then it went down hill. Every time my windows boots IT DOESNT. the mobo boots but then i have to press f8 to go to the safe mode screen and select the option start os normally. and then it starts to load. if u didnt understand that heres what i did:

1). Installed Win XP Pro
2). 5 days later went down hill
3).when i try to boot my pc it just boots the mobo and then goes to a black screen
4). then i have to hit the reset button and start hitting f8 to get to the safe mode menu.
5). then i choose start os normally
6). then the next menu comes up and i choose xp pro.
7). then i hit enter and it boots fine.

i just want to get rid of the part where i have to hit f8. a few of my friends said its a hardware problem but i dont know what could be causing it.

P.S. ive reinstalled xp pro 3 times because of this problem and now this time it wont fix.

I think you may be able to set an MS Dos file to automatically do this on boot, or maybe try a repair installation
