Default Windows XP Passwords

Hi i hope you can help me.

I have just installed XP sp2 (home edt) on my girlfriends pc and have set up her user name and password along with two others, however when you start the computer it does not go to the password screen but instead goes straight to load up and into my desktop???

can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong please.

(i press apply and when i look at the diifernt screen names in the control panel they all say password protected. Also if I click log-off i come up to the password prompt screen)

perhaps when you installed xp on this box, you checked "always assume this user logs into this machine" and then had a certain user threre. anyway, to change this, go to the registry editor (start>run>"regedit") and goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > MICROSOFT > WINDOWS NT > CURRENTVERSION > WINLOGON > and find the "AutoAdminLogon" string and edit it so that the value is "0" and not "1"
