Default Windows XP one User Lisence

Hi, I need a for sure answer on this or i'll have a very disappointed customer, my neighbor has a Dell Box with crappy ME on it, they decided they want to upgrade to windows XP, I have windows XP discs but i have no lisences for them, does anyone know where to find a lisence for Windows XP Pro discs? if so, will they work on just any windows XP pro disc? or are the lisences specific where if it has SP1 I need a lisence for SP1?

all help greatly appreciated.

You'll probably just have to order a whole new box set with the lisence included. Last check, Microsoft doesn't offer just the lisence keys and certificates of authenticity.

The licences are tied to the specific version of Windows XP that they were created for. Windows XP Home OEM licenses will only work with XP OEM cds, etc.
There was a new law instituted earlier this year that made it illegal to sell licenses without media, so the low price versions are not for sale at most retailers anymore.
