Windows xp ntldr

i need help with this one

i have tired running the fix off cd

fixboot
bootcfg /default
redoing the boot.ini
installing system commander

still wont just boot into windows

the only way i can get it to boot is by leaving the xp cd in the cd rom drive

anyone got any idea's?????

guess i should have looked in the bios more it was set on my other drive that didnt have an os

I've never been able to fix ntldr with any of thouse commands. The only way I have been able to repair the boot sector is with Herins utility boot disk.

fixboot and fixmbr should fix it.

I have that problem on my main rig, im just gonna format the HD's i got my motherboard coming in from RMA anyways.
