windows xp in ntfs/fat

I was wondering if windows xp runs better in NTFS or FAT32

NTFS. More security and, in sort, the file structure on the drive is managed better.

NTFS is not secure, there is no such thing as a secure filing system. its just more stable because it is less prone to file fragmentation, has compression, and disk qoutas.

NTFS, BUT make sure indexing service is switched off!!

My Computer > C:\ (Properties) > Uncheck the Box labelled indexing service

Hey rookie1010,

NTFS IS more secure that FAT did you forget about
EFS Encryption. You can also remove administrators, users
and limit the ability to make changes to any files by the
Read, Write, Change attributes as well as setting the
file to Read Only.

But lets not get off the topic here is the link that describes the

Worked4me no NTFS is not secure, but it has more security features. thats what mike was trying to tell me when he got all politically correct you can just take ownership of everything if you have the right access permissions and EFS is not too hard to break.
