Default Windows XP Laptop

I'm thinking of getting a laptop, but I don't know what to go with. I will mostly be using it for multimedia (images, audio, and video). Plus, like most people, I don't want to have to spend too much money on it.

Any suggestions?

How much do you have to spend?

*EDIT*

If you're from the United State, shop at newegg.com. You'll find better deal online.

Don't buy Acer. Their tech support sucks.

Thanks. I just bought one

Well, Acer won't support it anyways, it's from July 2006, and it was the "floor model". They didn't even have the original box for it.
