If I had a downloaded version of Windows XP Home Edition would it work? Is there anyway of tracking it?

Why do people insist on illegal downloads of xp, its so cheap on ebay now for an oem copy.

To answer your q, they already know and are on their way to your house now. Go hide. Quickly.

It will function somewhat yes, but good luck updating it.

If done right you will not have a problem with updates. And no they do not know and there is a small chance they'll find out

but the catch is that you have to download the ISO and you can burn it to a CD. But it is legal *i think*
