i know how to format a windows 95,98.But need to know how to format windows xp or xp pro.if does any one have an answer,

stick the xp cd in when you reboot and boot from it. then go through the installation a bit and you will be able to delete/add partitions and format the drive. or insert the windows 98 boot diskette and delete the partition there. and do:
A: format C:

Sometimes when you want to format a hard drive that had a previous NTFS partition, you might get some weird errors.

You use your Windows XP/2k Install CD and boot off the CD. Go to the setup and from there you will be able to remove/format the old partitioned data.

You can also use the Windows 2k/XP Setup Disks to accomplish this task.
