Default Windows x64 not installing!

Hi

I got my windows x64 today and when i try to get it to boot off the disc it wont it will just carry on loading up my old windows xp home. Can some one help me my pc has a AMD 64 3500+ so it has a 64 bit processor. Can some one please tell me why it may not be reading the disc.

and the disc is a Official copy! and the computer is set to boot off the cd rom drive!

you need to configure the boot settings in bios and put the cdrom/optical drive first

you dont see a message like this before windows loads?
"press any key to boot from cd" ? it doesnt boot automatically you gotta press a key while the message is displayed otherwise after a few seconds it will just boot from the hd

k ive built loads of machines but this is the first time this message has never come up.

Well i decided to not hassle with it and the person i got it off said he will refund me! So i will probaly buy a another one soon!

they didn't burn the iso correctly
