Windows Vista SP2 question

Okay so I read that Vista SP2 is going to require SP1 before you can install it. Now this brings a question to mind ... does this JUST mean that if you are installing via windows update you need to have sp1? Or does this extend to disk based releases as well -- i.e., they will not sell or release SP2 builds of Vista?

Any clarification from people who actually know how this is going to be played out would be very helpful, because I've been researching this and I can't find a clear answer from anyone who actually knows.

They most likely will relelase a CD/DVD version since there are still people on Dial up. But with that being said, it will still requier SP1 to be installed to install SP2. Even via the CD/DVD they release.

Along with that after SP2 gets released the OEM and Retail DVD's will be updated to include SP2 right in the install.

Also no one can know for sure cause Microsoft has not stated this information. It is still in Beta stages after all.
