Ok, so my sisters friend just finished using my laptop for MySpace, when she finished, she logged off. A few minutes later I logged back on and opened up Firefox, and for some reason there is a brown tint over everything. I restarted, and for a brief second the colour was normal - but then the brown tint came back. It only seems to affect darker colours, such as the Newgrounds page, the taskbar slightly, etc.

I can fix it if I change my display settings from 32 bit to 16 bit, then back to 32 bit again - but when I restart (or lock the computer and unlock it) it goes brown again.

Atomic that wont work on a laptop. ;) AFAIK there is no degause or anything like that on a laptop monitor.

It sounds as if either hte color scheme or the drivers are messed up. You say by changing from 16Bit from 32Bit it solves this issue.

It actually sounds as if this is more of a hibernation or standby issue. Which do you use? Hibernation or standby?

man, busy work day...laptop thing totally went over on me :p

snap! did a quick research for you...initial suggestion seems to be a burnt lamp...you know how flourescent tubes look when they are about to die? They last for a long time but can turn green or pink...etc

how old is this thing

and goodnight! :D

That is a good suggestion Atomic. Didnt think of that.

So it could be either the screnn is going or a issue related to hibernate/standby.
