No. SP1 will patch the Paradox and force you to go legit. Plus since it is illegal i would not mention things like that in the forums since it is against our rules as well to talk about such things.
well i know im not suppose to talk about it but i messed up thats why im asking.

i installed vista ult for someone when they had vista home premium. and i dont thnk they wanna format everything and start all over.
and now once the sp will install automatically they will have to pay for a new license.

i just may end up going there and taking there pc and re formatting again.

There is no way to downgrade. It will require a format. But at least they will be legit and can use SP1.

Here is the best thing to do. Go to Memory upgrades, flash media, and usb storage at Crucial.com and have them scan your system. They will give you a nice long list of compatible RAM chips for your system. Takes all teh guess work out of it. From there use the info you get and go shopping.

wow I've been trying to find that!!

thanks dude

but what it does is nailed by Mak, it shows the type of DDR/DDR2 RAM you use, and whats compatible and then, you go out and buy it

well i just thought of making a new thread but seen this is here i'll post what i was going to

i was going to ask if windows vista is right for me

i an in the mist of putting a new pc together for gaming, now the thing is i have a few games i still play on xp (not many mind you), i also have a few games that i havent installed yet

now the games are (in a random order), lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2, sim city 4, fable, devil may cry 3 and hitman 1 to blood money

i would quite happily ditch these if there are plenty of games on the way mind you

so do you think its worth me getting it

This is a personal preference question. We can not answer it for you. My personal experience with Vista i would say yes. I have had little to no problems with it and have enjoyed using it. But there are several members here that do not like Vista like i do. They would tell you to stay on XP.

The best answer i can give is to try it out for a day. It gives you 3 days before you have to insert a serial and activate. Try it out and see if you like it and its performance.
