In preparation for the public release of Windows Vista Beta 2, Microsoft put live over the weekend a beta Web site for hosting gadgets that run within the Windows Sidebar. The Gallery enables users to find available gadgets and allows developers to submit their own creations.

Although the site is currently quite sparse, Microsoft is accepting feedback and is expected to add more information and RSS feed support. Microsoft also released a beta SDK that provides documentation and examples for those interested in building Windows Live Gadgets for both Live.com and the Windows Sidebar.

Well it isnt for the kind of file sharing that we think of. It is more or less to share documents and such. Like in a Office setting. So in a way it isnt pointless. That would greatly reduce the time it takes to transfer these files over the network.

Any of you getting the vista beta i recommend installing it on a new partition or different hdd and not to install it on the same partition as xp. I did this and vista worked fine but xp wouldnt boot and caused me problems.

I would wait untill about 6 months after its come out. There wont be all the drivers out for it i doubt. Ill be getting it about then anyway.

lol how can u not care it means u wont be able to use certain things like my sound drivers wouldnt install so that would be a problem.
