the most successful disto i have come accross is Kubuntu and Ubuntu, but that is beside the point.

I hate people (especially Mac Fanboys) who complain heaps about how Windows is crappy and unstable, and not as advanced as thier precious Mac Os but in there household they have 2 Windows PC's compared to thier 1 mac. I offer to install Linux on thier PC's because they hate Windows so much. But they refuse. In reality, they need Windows but they dont accept it.

i got beta 1 of vista, its really nothing more than a prettier version of xp, you can use 3rd party stuff to make xp look as good, then theres the longhorn transformation pack.
i like xp better using Nlite/Dreamrender/Themespatch/3d icons
looks better, desktop is animated and with nlite i can remove all the crud.
vista is just more bloated crap

after its official release and they have Nlite for it and i can get dreamrender to work on the dern thing then i'll upgrade

Vista has better security and the entire kernal was even reworked for the purpose of security. Have you dived into Vista or did you just look at the new themes and pictues .
