Windows updates

do you all get these when they are available? If so, why? If not, why?

What a question.

For some obvious yet fair reasons, you get the updates, if your windows is not updated. (I dont know how microsoft detect this from your PC, maybe a cookie or something). Some virus may prevent you form downloading the updates or if microsoft server is too busy (I guess). If you have fresh install windows, you must update at once for stability purposes.

Not a huge fan of updates. Have seen multiple times when machines get the blue screen after doing the windows updates. Also if you read the updates they are for servers or programs most people don't use like Outlook Express. The important thing is to carefully read what the update is for.

ALWAYS run these updates it is critical to protect hackers and virus's from entering your system and plug all the holes Microsoft has left open.
