Default windows update

there's a new update for winxp its supposed to tell you if your windows is genuine or not... has anybody downloaded it? what does it do? what if your windows is not genuine.. will it annoy you?

dont download it !! it will probley bug you keep popping up saying NOT GENUINE !!!

i didn't say my windows is not genuine... lol

not commenting on its validity..

oh and sorry i didn't clarfiy it was winxp pro.

ya i didn't download it (don't read into that) i just downloaded the security update...

what about oem versions that do not ask for your cdkeys? (ie: restore cds/system cds) Will it say these are not genuine? What does it look for?
