Windows server 2016 questions?

No, I am wanting to run a WeB server from it. And be able to have access to the systems in my place. Along with some other ideas, am thinking king taking some terminal also and putting g them up.... Haven't figured it out yet... Still in planning g stage

I guess I'm confused on what you mean by "split up the number of cores on different machines".

If you're not running VM's, you have a single OS running on the system with access to all cores to use for whatever processing you're doing.

Okay,
Microsoft says licensing on 8 cores minimum.
So I have it on two cores for license.
Can I still install the OS on 6 more cores. Which are on different systems or just one install

Like we already said above, don't worry about licensing - your licensing is different. Cores is irrelevant for you except for what you want to do. You can install it on a single core machine if you really wanted to.
