Windows restart problem

My laptop has this wierd restarting problem, that whenever it reaches the windows professional logo load screen, it will restart. I've tried every possible safe mode option, but the same results will occur when loading drivers.

I need to retrieve my files, but I dont want to do an OS replacement install, because the system gets really messy. So can someone give me some pointers or a quick guide of what I can do with software like Ghost, or partition magic or anything else - I am willing to listen and learn.

Try F*king around with your BIOS Settings.

if you know your way around your notebook insides, you can remove your HDD. get the appropriate IDE cable and install it on a desktop PC. Turn on the PC. Once the OS is booted, go into 'My Commputer' and you should see your notebook HDD. Click on it and you can retrieve all the files and data you need, then do a reinstall on the notebook.
