windows protection error

please can anyone help me with this problem i am running

abit is7 motherboard
2.0ghz
512mb memmory
win 98se

the memory is good i bought it new today and it runs on a different cpu i also have a brand new motherboard i have use a different hard drive in my pc and it works i have also taken my hard drive out and put it in the other computer and it works so i am stumped and i am stuck i dont know what to do

What is your problem? I'm going tot ake a shot in the dark here and say it is Windows 98 that is your problem.
