well i have mainly 3 drives in my system
c:\ (has xp) 50gb
d:\ (empty) 100
e:\ (personal data) 100 (approx)

well i want to install linux on my sytem .. but installing on d drive will consume a lot of space ( i mean giving 100 gb for linux is too much)..
like i want to repartition without disturbing ne thing... just want to transfer the space in rest drives .. is there ne thing like that...?
please suggest...

I have no idea what you are trying to say. You want to install Linux but you dont want to use all of the drive. but you also dont want to repartition either?

Then use Ubuntu with Wubi.

If you want to repartition your D: drive without disturbing anything, use the GParted LiveCD. It will allow you to resize partitions and make new ones without losing your data. It's still wise to back up important files in case of some failure.

Also, it's less confusing to say anything and it takes exactly the same amount of space as ne thing.
