What is the best Windows OS to date, based on security, hardware compatibility, and program stability?

XP's stabability was is better than others ive used and installing hardware is slightly easier

I voted XP Pro but 2000 Pro is great for older systems

dual boot with 2k and xp pro.
still have original windows 95 and windows 98 cd's lol
